British Eventing


Dressage Phase

Advanced, CCI and CIC 5*, 4* and 3*, Intermediate Championships

  • Top hat or Protective Headwear
  • Black or dark blue tail coat
  • White stock
  • Gloves
  • White, buff or fawn breeches
  • Plain black or topped boots with white breeches or full grain smooth black leather gaiters with matching boots
  • Uniform


Novice, Intermediate Novice, Intermediate, CCI and CIC 2*

  • Riding Hat or Protective Headwear, black or dark blue in colour.
  • Black or dark blue coat with white stock or tweed coat with coloured stock or tie
  • Gloves
  • Buff or fawn breeches
  • Plain black boots or full grain smooth black leather gaiters with matching boots
  • Uniform

 

Showjumping Phase

Advanced, CCI and CIC 5*, 4* and 3* and Intermediate Championships

  • Protective Headwear black or dark blue in colour
  • Black, dark blue or red coat
  • Stock
  • Gloves
  • White, buff or brown breeches
  • Plain black or topped boots with white breeches or full grain smooth black leather gaiters with matching boots
  • Uniform with Protective Headwear


Intermediate, CCI and CIC 2*, Novice Championships

  • As in 2.2 save that Protective Headwear is compulsory.


All other classes

  • As in 2.3 save that Protective Headwear is compulsory.

 

Cross Country Phase

All classes

  • Protective Headwear with cover.
  • Sweater or shirt (long sleeves are strongly recommended)
  • Body protector
  • White, buff or fawn breeches
  • Plain black or topped boots with white breeches or full grain smooth black leather gaiters with matching boots.
  • Shirts
  • Only white or pastel coloured shirts with white collars and ties or hunting stocks. Ladies may wear white or pastel coloured show jumping shirts with high white collars, but without a stock or tie. However, coloured ties or stocks may be worn with hacking jackets. Pony members who are also members of The Pony Club may wear pony Club ties regardless of the colour of their jackets.
  • Shirts must be properly done up at all times.


 


British Dressage


Advanced Tests

  • Uniform, tail coat or short jacket with correctly tied white/cream stock or tie with top hat, hunting cap, bowler or crash cap.
  • Preliminary to Advanced Medium Tests
  • Uniform, short jacket or tweed coat with correctly tied stock, white American Collar or shirt and tie, hunting cap, bowler hat, crash cap, or dressage topper.
  • Tail coats and short jackets may be any plain conservative, dark colour. For example navy, bottle green or charcoal grey etc. Tweed coats should not be brightly coloured or have loud patterns.
  • Logos level with the breast pocket are permitted on jackets but must not exceed 80 square cm (9cm x9cm approx).


N.B. At the discretion of the Organiser, competitors may be permitted to ride without coats in excessively hot weather, but a suitable long/short sleeved shirt that fastens at the neck (not bright or multicoloured) with a tie, American collar or correctly fastened stock must be worn. A fitted, plain, conservative coloured waistcoat may be worn when permission has been granted not to wear coats.

Plain dark coloured waterproof coats may be worn in wet weather. Body protectors may be worn.
